Diferent gesture for top/bottom and right/left configurable in the settings. Additional options in settings app.

Click the scale button in the top right to toggle rotation lock. Tapping only skips forward and back if tapped within 30% of an edge, so tapping in the middle of screen no longer skips either direction but instead scales the video as it would by defualt.
